Parksville to upgrade sidewalk on Despard Avenue near Springwood Park entrance

Work starts Aug. 16 and is expected to take three days

The City of Parksville will upgrade the sidewalk on Despard Avenue at the entrance to the parking lot for Springwood Park.

The work will begin Monday morning (Aug. 16), and is expected to take three days to complete, weather dependent.

In a public notice, the manager of communications for the city, Deb Tardiff, wrote “we recognize this is a well-used area with access to the off-leash dog park and the tennis courts from Despard Avenue. Please expect occasional delays as work proceeds and follow the instructions of traffic personnel.”
