Parksville woman struck by car in hit and run

Police are seeking the driver of a car that struck a 21-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Parksville Shoppers Drug Mart.

Police are searching for the driver of a car similar to this one. A car like this (not the one pictured) was involved in a hit and run in Parksville Jan. 31.

PARKSVILLE - A 21-year-old woman was struck by a car on Jan. 31 in the parking lot of the Parksville Shoppers Drug Mart.

At around 6 p.m., the car struck the woman and then drove off. Police are now asking for the public's help in located this alleged hit and run driver.

The woman was treated at the scene by a BC Ambulance crew.

The driver of the vehicle, according to the Oceanside RCMP, is described as being a Caucasian male, in his late 60s, with grey hair and glasses. The driver may also have a grey moustache.

The vehicle is described as a newer car, possibly 2008 Pontiac G5 or Chevy Cobalt, royal blue in colour.

Police are requesting that this male identify himself to police.
