Police seek information on car vandalism

Vehicles parked at Coombs facility have tires slashed, windshield smashed

Police are looking for the public’s help to find out who was responsible for a rash of vehicle vandalism in Coombs last week.

Oceanside RCMP Sergeant Darrell Robertson said police were called to the parking area at Coombs Country Auto Service on Virginia Road Friday to investigate damage to nine vehicles that had been parked there overnight.

When officers arrived, they found that nine vehicles had a total of 23 tires slashed and one windshield smashed, resulting in damage estimated at $2,500.

Robertson urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything that could give police a clue about this incident to call the Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111.
