Oceanside RCMP received 207 complaints the week of Oct. 31 to Nov. 5.
Some of the incidents included:
Oct. 31
• A resident was reported defrauded of $4,350 by responding to an Instagram romance scam.
• A nighttime prowler was reported in the 3700 block of Mallard Place, Nanoose Bay.
Nov. 1
• A theft was reported from a donation bin in the 200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• A vehicle was reported vandalized while parked in the area of Horne Lake Road and Inland Island Highway. A catalytic converter and groceries were reported stolen from vehicle, a window smashed and a handicap parking pass missing.
• An iPad, phone, purse and lunch were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville. A male was apprehended by police nearby and all goods returned to owner.
• Trespassers were reported defecating, leaving garbage and starting fires in the 100 block of Alberni Highway, Parkville.
Nov. 2
• Three black Stearns brand, model C1271, personal flotation devices were reported stolen in the 1400 block of Cape Cod Drive, Parksville.
• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Lee Road, Parksville.
Nov. 3
• A porch pirate was reported in the 1100 block of Roberton Road, Parksville.
• A black colour Gary Fischer 24-speed mountain bike with 26-inch wheels was reported stolen in the 200 block of Jensen Avenue East.
• A boat reported stolen from Nanaimo was recovered at the marina in the 1000 block of Lee Road, Parksville.
• A collapsible table was reported stolen from a community park in the 700 block of Soriel Road, Parksville.
• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Lee Road, Parksville.

Nov. 4
• A vehicle was reported vandalized Halloween night in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
Nov. 5
• A business break-and-enter was reported in the 2000 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach. The front door and interior of business sustained damage.
• A green Supercycle BMX bike was found in the 100 block of Harrison Avenue, Parksville. Contact Oceanside RCMP, quoting file number, during regular business hours to claim.
