Oceanside RCMP received 224 complaints the week of Dec. 19-25.
Some of the incidents included:
Dec. 19
Dec. 20
• A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 900 block of Fairdowne Road, Parksville. A broken window was noted.
• A red 2017 Stump Jumper mountain bike was reported stolen in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville.
• Hammer drills, Sunnies sunglasses, a dash cam and miscellaneous power tools were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Shelley Road, Parksville.
• A public washroom was reported vandalized with graffiti in the Parksville Community Park.
• A vehicle was reported rummage through in the 500 block of Seaward Way, Qualicum Beach.
• A trespasser was reported in the 200 block of Jensen Avenue East, Parksville.
Dec. 21
• A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville1. Damage noted to driver’s door and ignition.
• A small fire by trespassers was reported in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• A small fire by trespassers outside a building triggered a fire alarm and exterior sprinklers was reported in the 300 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• The attempted theft of a vehicle was reported in the 300 block of Willow Street, Parksville. The ignition was noted damaged.
• A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle at the Memorial Avenue pullout, Qualicum Beach.
• A counterfeit Canadian $100 bill, serial number RUV0014912, was received by a financial institution in Parksville.
• A trespasser was reported in the first block of Woodland Drive, Parksville.
• A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Alberni Highway and Jensen Avenue West, Parksville. The purse was returned missing a cellphone and credit cards.
• A vehicle was reported vandalized with graffiti in the 100 block of Ford Avenue, Parksville. The incident was said to have occurred on Dec. 20.
• A white 2007 Keystone Hornet travel trailer, B.C. licence plate WLK20F, was reported stolen from a storage facility in Parksville.

Dec. 22
• A set of Cleveland golf clubs, a Ping driver and a Taylor Made wood driver in a red/black golf bag were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Yambury Road.
• Used batteries were reported stolen from a storage compound in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville.
• A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville.
Dec. 24
• A trespasser was reported in the 500 block of Nootka Road, Qualicum Beach.
• A vehicle and contents were reported stolen in the 100 block of Second Avenue West, Qualicum Beach. Vehicle was recovered in Nanaimo on Dec. 27, however a blue 2019 Stump Jumper mountain bike is still missing.
• A blue Coleman cooler, a green lantern and a small propane tank were reported stolen from a property in the 200 block of Dunbar Way, Parksville.
Stolen Vehicles Not Recovered
• A white 2000 Dodge Dakota, B.C. licence plate NV9174, was reported stolen in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on Nov. 8.
• A black 2006 Ford F350, B.C. licence plate RE8080, was reported stolen in the area of Hilliers Road and Alberni Highway, Whiskey Creek.
• A blue 2006 Toyota Sienna, B.C. licence plate CA809X, was reported stolen in the 900 block of Lee Road West, Parksville.
