ROTARY CHAMBER GALA GOES OUT OF AFRICA: More than 300 people packed the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre on Saturday night for the Chamber of Commerce/Rotary Gala, which this year carried the theme “Out of Africa.” Auction items and other prizes were donated by local businesses. Money raised will be used for Rotary’s community projects. After dinner and the auction, the band Big Fun packed the dance floor.
