The Town of Qualicum Beach has a new director of finance.
Raj Hayre was formerly the director of finance for the District of Lantzville. He also served as CFO for Bowen Island Municipality, financial controller/acting director of finance for the District of West Vancouver, manager of finance for the Vancouver Island Public Library, and more.
As the new director of finance, Hayre will be a key member of the town’s senior management team, and will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budget management as well as asset and risk management, and providing operational management to finance staff.
Hayre will collaborate closely with the chief administrative officer in providing advice and guidance to council to support their financially sound decision-making.

Hayre’s first day with the Town of Qualicum Beach will be Jan. 23, 2023.
