THE LID PROJECT: Arrowview Elementary Grade 4 and 5 students in Jodi Waters' class presented their newly-painted garbage can lid to the Qualicum Beach Mayor Teunis Westbroek on March 31. The top of the lid says “A beautiful world starts with you” and the flowers on the lid represent each student in the class. Waters' class started working on the lid in December. The town plans to put the garbage can, and its lid, along the beachfront.
