Qualicum school district board staging virtual town hall to talk longterm planning

The board of education for School District 69 (Qualicum) invites staff, parents, guardians and community members to join in their first virtual town hall conversation to support district longterm facility planning.

The town hall discussion will take place on Thursday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m.

The session will begin with a brief overview of projections, capacities, and the facilities planning process. Then will shift to conversations between trustees and the public regarding key planning topics. These will include options for expanding capacity, programs of choice, future usage of district sites and the potential sale or disposal of surplus buildings.

Parents, guardians and members of the public can tune into the virtual meeting through the school district’s website at www.sd69.bc.ca.
