The Regional District of Nanaimo is holding a series of open houses to give Electoral Area F residents an opportunity to learn more about the governance and service study now being conducted in the region.
Input and feedback residents are also being sought through the open houses and will be used to develop recommendations for the governance and services study final report.
The open houses are scheduled as follows:
• Nov. 16, Errington War Memorial Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Nov. 17, Errington War Memorial Hall, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Dec. 3, Arrowsmith Hall, Coombs Fairgrounds, 1-3:30 p.m.
• Jan. 11, Meadowood Community Centre, 6-8:30 p.m.
• Jan. 12, Meadowood Community Centre, 6-8:30 p.m.
The final report and recommendations are anticipated to be presented to the RDN Board in the spring of 2023.

The study, which encompasses all of Area F (Coombs, Hilliers, Errington, Whiskey Creek, Meadowood and surrounding areas), is being led by a study consultant in collaboration with a committee of nine Area F residents. The Area F director also serves on the committee in a non-voting capacity.
