Regional District of Nanaimo to hold inaugural governance study meeting for Area F

Residents invited to take part in May 18 session

The Regional District of Nanaimo will undertake a governance and services study for Electoral Area F (Coombs, Hilliers, Errington, Whiskey Creek and Meadowood and surrounding areas).

The inaugural meeting of the Electoral Area F Governance and Services Study Committee has been set for May 18 at the Bradley Centre on 975 Shearme Rd. in Coombs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The purpose of the study is to gather information about current governance and service delivery in Area F, to get feedback from the community about their interests, priorities and challenges, and to identify opportunities for improvement.

A local governance and services study committee has been appointed by the RDN. The study committee is comprised of nine residents who represent various backgrounds, interests and localities in Area F to ensure a wide variety of perspectives are represented. Director Leanne Salter also sits on the committee in a non-voting capacity.
