Qualicum Beach resident John Barton had an interesting perspective on recently passed comedy giant Phyllis Diller. “The bigger the name, the better the people, and Phyllis was huge at the time, she was wonderful,” he said of his experience interviewing her on his BCTV show in the early 1970s. Diller died at her L.A. home Monday at the age of 95.
