The Regional District of Nanaimo is updating its regional growth strategy and is seeking input from residents.

The RDN board, in amending its strategy, wants to ensure there is continued alignment between community priorities and growth management in the region.

Residents are asked to to provide input on land use, transportation, housing, and climate mitigation and adaptation. Residents can share their priorities for the region via the RGS Community Survey until March 25, 2022.

The RGS is the region’s collective vision for how to manage change and growth over the next 20 years. Key elements include the creation of connected communities, protecting the environment and the efficient delivery of RDN services, such as public transit, recreation and utilities.
