Utility and road construction will force some Parksville traffic to alternating single lanes until Feb. 28.

A release by the engineering department for the City of Parksville indicated that utility and road construction near 377 Moilliet St. is planned from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Feb. 9 and Feb. 28.

“Expect single-lane alternating traffic during construction. Traffic will be controlled in all directions for cars and pedestrians. Two-way traffic will be reinstated at the end of each day,” read the release.

Emergency vehicles will still have access through the work area, however, motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
