The San Pareil water pump station will undergo electrical work, which will briefly disrupt water supply in the area.

The Regional District of Nanaimo indicated to install the electrical parts, the booster pumps have to be temporarily shut down resulting in water service interruptions for approximately 10 minutes on Wednesday morning, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.

RDN water services staff will endeavour to keep the interruption as short as possible. Residents are advised to avoid using laundry and dishwashing machines for the time period noted above, and ensure you have sufficient water stored for personal use.

The RDN indicated it is not responsible for any injury or damages resulting from the temporary disruption in water pressure or water supply.
