The board of education for School District 69 (Qualicum) has announced it will have a new director of operations.
According to a release issued by Peter Jory, superintendent for SD69, Phil Munro will fill the position as of May 24, 2022.
Presently, Munro is the associate director, airport operations at the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) where he oversees a multi-disciplinary team of 160 staff members. Prior to his work at the GTAA, he held operational leadership roles in the Australian airport sector.

“(Munro) is currently completing his Master of Business Administration. As well, he holds a diploma in human resources and business management and a trade certificate in cabinet making and wood machinery,” read Jory’s release. “Please join the board of education in welcoming Phil and his family to our district.”
