Seasonal lights to be installed along Alberni Highway in Parksville

Parking on highway will be limited Oct. 26 and Oct. 27

Seasonal lights will once again be installed on the trees along the Alberni Highway in Parksville.

The work will begin on Oct. 26, continue on Oct. 27 and, if necessary, be completed on Oct. 28, according to a news release by the city.

Crews will install lights from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

On Oct. 26, work will begin at the CIBC on Highway 19A on the west side, moving up the Alberni Highway. There will be no parking available on the west side of the Alberni Highway that day.

Crews will start near the Royal Bank on Oct. 27, on the east side, moving down the Alberni Highway. There will be no parking on the east side of Alberni on that day.

Once the lights have been installed, parking spaces will be made available.
