Thousands showed up to pay their respects on Remembrance Day at three locations in the region

Record crowds came to pay their respects under sunny skies during Remembrance Day ceremonies on Wednesday in Bowser, Parksville and Qualicum Beach.

Veterans, RCMP, Legion members and service clubs lead the parades and then joined others crowded near the cenotaphs for the Last Post, Lament, Reveille and prayers.
