Stuck in the muck in a stolen truck

Oceanside RCMP nab suspect after call from Errington logging contractor

He didn’t get too far.

On Tuesday, April 23, Oceanside RCMP were called by a logging contractor in Errington who reported a man suspected of stealing batteries from logging equipment.

Upon attendance, police located a suspect trying to leave the area in a truck that was stuck in a muddy ditch.

Police found several batteries located in the back of the truck. Justin Joseph Kloss, 26, was arrested without incident.

The vehicle Kloss was driving had been reported stolen the previous day from French Creek Marina.

Kloss, who faces two charges of possession of stolen property, appeared in court on April 24. He was released and will make his next appearance on May 7.
