Thanks for the help, Bowser

A flat tire on a Sunday evening in Bowser was a real eye opener for a first-time visitor from Peru.

To Bill and Lee, who were quickly on the scene with tools and kindly advice: thank you.

To the older gentleman on his walk to the beach, who assisted with the jack. We did not get your name: thank you.

To Bob who was walking with his dogs. He offered and drove the miles with the flat spare to a garage: thank you.

To young Rob at D&V Service Super Save gas, who was still at the garage, and who happily stayed late and checked and filled the spare: thank you.

My Peruvian relative remarked in awe of the beautiful scenery and in awe several times of the consideration and help of all of the people.

I was grateful that so many in the community assisted us. Thank you.

It was also a lesson to check the spare, where not to pull over, to know how to change a tire and to know that your purse at home is not the place to keep your CAA and contact number.
