A motor vehicle incident had traffic backed up going northbound on Highway 19 south of the highway and Northwest Bay Road in the afternoon of Oct. 11.
RCMP, ambulance and fire crews were on scene.
The vehicle incident was reportedly located not far north of the rest area at Nanoose Bay flats. Fire crews also reported a secondary accident near Rumming Road.
The Nanoose Bay Fire Department asked that motorists use the right lane as the left lane was blocked, to expect delays, slow down and use caution.
