Utility work will force a temporary road closure along Beachside Drive in Parksville until March 25.
A release by the City of Parksville’s engineering department indicated that utility work in the roadway on Beachside Drive in front of 161 Island Highway W and 113 Island Highway W.

“Access to the parking area at 173 Island Highway W will be maintained. Traffic control personnel will be on-site,” read the release.
Emergency vehicles will still have access through the work area, however, motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
