Kids, parents and more enjoy Parksville event

Fire engines, both new and restored, were gathered from all around the region for the celebration of the Parksville Volunteer Fire Department’s 75th anniversary.

Local firefighters, both current and retired, showed children and their parents some of the equipment that’s been used over the years, teaching them how to put out fires, how to sound old sirens, and much more.
