Washroom at Nanaimo park ‘senselessly smashed’

No video footage of incident Nov. 1 at Harewood Centennial Park, say police

A washroom at Nanaimo’s Harewood Centennial Park was badly damaged this week.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, urinals and a toilet at Harwood Centennial Park were “senselessly smashed and destroyed” sometime prior to 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 1.

There were no witnesses nor video footage of the incident, police said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, quoting file number 2021-40818.
