The Regional District of Nanaimo is currently in the tendering process for a water treatment plant in the Nanoose Bay Red Gap area to fix elevated iron and manganese levels in the water which are causing aesthetic concerns.
The RDN is currently inviting tenders for construction of the water treatment plant as well as for the demolition and reconstruction of a fire hall in Nanoose Bay.
