Wildlife Recovery Centre seeks volunteers

Participants need to love both working with animals and with the public

The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre is looking for gift shop volunteers to greet visitors and explain what they do. They are looking for people who can commit longer term, even if it’s just one four hour shift a week.

“They will provide cash register training, but previous experience would be an asset and a strong customer service acumen is required,” chief operating officer Thom Howson said. “It is a great place to work and be part of the team that cares for injured, orphaned or ill wildlife.”

Applications are available at www.niwra.org, or call Howson at 250-248-8534.                                          — Submitted by NIWRA
