It seemed like some harmless fun, a bunch of locals dressing up like un-dead brain eaters and parading on a few blocks of Parksville.
However, some of the 80 men, women and children who participated in the Zombie Walk on Saturday evening apparently spent a lot of time and money on make-up and props, so much so that some of them, dare we say, looked real.
Could it be that a few actual zombies found a way to sneak into the crowd and hide in plain sight? Nah, zombies aren't real. Right?
Event organizer Dan LaRocque had this to say about the event on Facebook:
"Way to go everybody, great outfits, great spirit and a fantastic turn-out. Favourite comment overheard: 'Wow, Parksville just keeps getting better and better'. Which is the whole point, after all. Now, what shall we do next?"
