Notice of No Public Hearing: Zoning Amendment Bylaw 900.003 (324 Chester Road)

What is Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 900.003?

The Town of Qualicum Beach will consider the following proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw at the June 18, 2025 Regular Council Meeting for first, second, and third readings. Pursuant to sections 464 (3) of the Local Government Act, the Town is prohibited from holding a Public Hearing.

The purpose of the proposed bylaw change is to rezone the subject property from Residential 1 (R1) to Residential 2 (R2). This zoning change would permit the strata titling of all four townhome units. Under the current R1 zone, a maximum of two of the four units can be strata titled.

A copy of the proposed zoning amendment bylaw, plans and other relevant documents are available on the Town’s website https://qualicumbeach.com/planning-notices or by appointment at Town Hall located at 660 Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, BC between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays, from Wednesday, May 21, 2025 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 10:00 am.

This notice is published in accordance with Section 467 of the Local Government Act.
