JOHNSON, A. Dorothy
of “The Meadows”, Parksville, B.C. passed away on February 26, 2003, aged 97 years.
She is survived by her granddaughter Lynda Blackstock and her husband Greg Hatten of Brisbane, Australia; cousins Keath Marten of California, USA; Janet Grinten of Coff’s Harbour, Australia; Madeline Hardie of Salt Spring Island, BC, the Weppler clan including nephew Charles Weppler and wife Caroline of Morse, SK as well as several relatives throughout Canada, USA and Scotland in addition to her multitude of caring and loving friends.
The life of Dorothy Johnson and her long time friend Grace D’Arcy was celebrated and remembered at a joint Funeral Service held at St. Edmund’s Anglican Church, Parksville, BC on March 1, with Reverend Andrew Twiddy officiating.
Cremation followed with Dorothy’s ashes being scattered at the mouth of Englishman’s River.
