He started as a Faller with MacMillan Bloedel, Franklin Division in 1961, where he worked until retiring at age 65.
Since moving to Coombs from Ladysmith in 1971, Al was involved in the community in many ways from fighting the RDN with Ercohill Landowner’s Association to falling trees for the Bluegrass/Rodeo grounds with his son, Dan. Al put in many shifts at the Bluegrass, enjoying both the conversations and the music and as a member of the Coombs Old Time Fiddlers. Al will be missed by many relatives and friends.
