It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Albert Barnes, 88, on December 9th. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Margo. Special nephew, Rob Hunter, wife Kay, and daughter, Olivia of London, England. Also, many nieces and nephews in England, Scotland and Australia. Born and educated in England, Albert served in the British RASC during WW2. Albert had many stories to tell of his experiences having also lived in Africa and Australia before emigrating to Edmonton, Alberta in 1975 where he met dear friends, Larry and Ruth Lund and family, Matt and Andrea: also, the Lecroix and Whittleton families. Finally, retiring to Parksville, BC in 1998 where he made many friends.
The family would like to thank friends and neighbours for their acts of kindness at this time.
