ALEXANDER LADISLAUS PAYER

February 12, 1931 – March 23, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce that Alexander passed in his sleep at his residence in Qualicum Beach on March 23, 2016.

He is survived by his cousin, Eva Filipova, his cousin’s sons, Michael Filip and Jan Filip and his friends, Sandra and Rene of Bowser. Alexander was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie May Payer on January 10, 2008; father, Jan Alexander Karol Payer; mother, Irena Gizela Payer, sister, Irena Gizela Payer and aunt, Vilma Andraskova.

Alexander was born February 12, 1931 in Poprad, Czechoslovakia. He left Czechoslovakia after WWII in 1945 and became a Canadian Citizen on January 27, 1959. In 1959 he also married his wife Marjorie in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Alexander lived in multiple cities across Canada including Winnipeg, Manitoba, Olds, Alberta, Bowser and Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. Alexander was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed fishing and downhill skiing in his free time.

In keeping with his wishes, Alexander’s cremated remains

were scattered at sea on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
