KOZAK, Alexandria (nee Brown)
July 23, 1923 – December 12, 2015
Alexandria passed away peacefully in Parksville on December 12, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Ayrshire, Scotland and moved to Canada at age 2. Mom married Robert A. Brown in 1945 and together they raised five children in North Burnaby.
She successfully managed a Wine Art shop in Burnaby for many years until her retirement in 1988 when she moved to Parksville with Alexander Kozak and shortly after they were married.
Her happiest memories were summer vacations spent on Lasqueti Island thanks to the generosity of her cousins Tom & Molly Millicheap & family. She enjoyed the holidays at Ogden Lake that were shared along with her sister and family Helen & Bussie Anderson.
She was predeceased by her sister Anne Hilton; brother-in-law Tom Hilton, grandson Robert Linee Christensen; Father of her children, Robert A. Brown, son-in-law Jan Halme; brother-in-law Earl (Bussie)Anderson; second husband Alexander Kozak.
Survived by her sister Helen Anderson, daughters Susan Ellard (Darwin), Anne Sperling, Georgia Forbes (Bill), Barbara Richards (Reg), Jim Brown (Elaine), 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mom took great pride in and dearly loved her family.
