WATSON, Alfred John
~ October 16, 1908 - February 2, 2003 ~
Born in London, England, Alf moved to Canada with his family very early in life and lived in the eastern province of Quebec for many years before his father was transferred to British Columbia.
Alf loved life and all of his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Zola in July of 1999, his son-in-law Maurice Wilson in May of 1999, and also his granddaughter Margaret Harvey in May of 2001.
Alf leaves behind to mourn, 4 children, Robert Watson and his wife Darlene, Linda Wilson, Don Watson, and Mike Watson and his wife Leslie. Also left behind are 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Alf was known and loved by many people and has numerous friends and neighbours who loved him and will surely miss him. He was lovingly referred to as “Grampa” by a great many children and adults alike who will miss his kind and gentle spirit.
A service will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 2600 Powder Point Road, Nanoose Bay, BC, on Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 11:00 am.
