March 7th, 1940-September 7th, 2009
Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving to mourn, his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Eileen; devoted children, all of whom he was very proud of: Angeline (James), Michael (Candice), John (Marixa), Theresa (Reg), and four grandchildren: Rhianna, Alexander, Caelan, and Miranda. Allan also left behind his father Fran, sisters Ginny-May and Susan, and brother Don.
Allan loved spending his free time gardening and doing woodworking. A doting grandpa, he loved spending days with his four grandchildren. A partsman for 36 years at Berk’s Intertruck, Allan leaves behind many friends and associates.
The family wishes to give heart- felt thanks to Dr. Frank Wong of Victoria and the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit in Nanaimo.
A Memorial was held Sunday, September 13th, 2009 at 2pm at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville, B.C.
