ALVIN BROWN

25 March 1935 to 03 October 2013

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Alvin on October3, 2013 at N.R.G.H.

Alvin is survived by his wife Beth, daughters Brenda, Margaret (Bruce), Kathy (Nigel), grandchildren Stephen, Thomas, Matthew and James. He will also be fondly remembered by Beth’s children – Jane (Howard), Susan, Rob and grandchildren Mackenzie and Matthew, as well as his many friends and Barney his doggy companion.

Born in Ontario – Alvin entered the R.C.M.P. at a young age retiring after 20 years with the rank of S/Sgt – on moving to Vancouver Island in 1985 he persued an active and rewarding career in Real Estate. During his retirement years he greatly enjoyed participating in various Bridge Clubs – his garden, home, dogs – and larger than life he most enjoyed visiting with and entertaining friends.

He has left us too soon and will be greatly missed.

In accordance with Alvin’s wishes a private Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

A gathering for Remembrance and Celebration of Alvin’s life will be held and the family invite all those who would like to join them – on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2pm to 4pm at the Quality Resort Bayside in Parksville.
