Alvin James Schaedeli, of Qualicum Beach, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at his home in Nanoose Bay. Born in Saskatchewan to Alfred and Mary Schaedeli, Alvin grew up on a farm in Deer Ridge. In 1989, Alvin and his family settled on Vancouver Island, where he resided for the duration of his life. Alvin's life was enriched with adventures and travels; he was an elaborate storyteller and enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and friends. Alvin is survived by his wife Graciela, his son Juan, his daughters Carmen and Connie, his brother Glen (Carol), his sister-in-law Pauline and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Robert and his niece Rosalie. Loved by many, Alvin will be missed by friends and relatives from around the world. In accordance with Alvin's wishes, there will not be a funeral service.
