Andy (Joseph Adrien) Charron, 84, passed away after a strong battle with Cancer with his family at his side.  Andy was born August 5th, 1931 and spent his childhood in St. Paul, Alberta.  He left home at 18 to join the Navy where he trained as an electrician.  His career took him all over BC, but focused on Vancouver Island.  He raised his family in Campbell River and finally settled into retirement in the Parksville area.

Andy is survived by his wife, Denise, his son Cliff (Sheila), son Chris (Christine) and daughter, Kathy (John).  Also stepchildren, Rick (Leah), Gerry (Trudy), Lena (Rob), Roger (Rodney), and Neal (Karen).  He shared his wisdom with 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his brother Bernie (Madeleine) and his sisters, Germaine and Aline (Jean Marc).

Many thanks to those who helped care for Andy. The personal care and thoughtfulness of Dr. Garth Loughead and Dr. Marlene Van Der Weyde made this time much easier for the family.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo Regional Hospital who cared and supported both Andy and his family in their time of need with gentle hands and big hearts. No service will be held at the request of Andy.
