Ann H. POSTHUMA

August 9, 2007

Ann H. Posthuma

born August 17, 1918 in Carlisle, England. Passed away August 9, 2007, Qualicum Beach, B.C.

Ann was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ann Parks (nee Comyn Ching) in 1978 and her husband, Ype Posthuma in 1990. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Thora and Marshall Butcher of Qualicum Beach, B.C. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Ann was well known in the Antique Community in both Vancouver and Vancouver Island. She and her husband, Ype, travelled extensively throughout their lives together and, more recently, with her good friend, Babs Van Weston of Duncan.

Ann enjoyed a very independent life and moved to her own condominium in Qualicum Beach in 2000. Her illness in August of 2005 made it imperative that she move to the lovely facility of Arranglen Gardens. In December of 2006 she was relocated to ?ÄúThe Gardens?Äù. Both facilities are in Qualicum Beach, where she was treated with dignity and loving care by all the staff members. She would want to say ?Äúthank you?Äù to each of you. You are a wonderful group of people!

Honouring Ann?Äôs beliefs, there will not be a memorial service.
