Arnold passed away due to the complications of old age in the afternoon of February 2, 2012. Dad led a full life. Never a dull moment as Mom would say. He was a true entrepreneur and a genuine optimist. He enjoyed success whether it was his, his family’s or his friend’s. He and his brothers left a big mark in the commercial fishing industry. Above all he was a man of nature. He loved animals and they loved him. Sometimes they would just hang around him for some reason. Dad also loved his parties and he will be throwing one more for the family at his house in Nanoose Bay. Thank you to everyone who was a part of his life, large or small. We look forward to swapping “Arnold stories” here around the campfire someday soon. He would like that. All the best from the Mauriks Family.
