Arthur A Miller

June 4, 1923 – January 25, 2013

Arthur was born in Dundee Scotland and obtained his education at St Andrew’s University. During WWII, he served as a Lieutenant with the Royal Artillery Field Unit. Arthur immigrated to Canada in 1949.

Following a short career in insurance, he became a high school teacher and taught both French and English in Montreal and later Ottawa. Arthur was a man with many interests; he loved languages and was fluent in several; he was an active member of Ottawa Little Theatre performing on stage as well as working behind the scenes; he was a talented fine furniture maker.

He leaves his wife of 46 years, Lorna; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Keith Winrow, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many good friends to mourn his passing.

Many thanks to the care given to Arthur by Dr K Martin; the staff of the Qualicum Medicine Centre, Sue’s Senior Care, and the Fifth Floor of Nanaimo General Hospital.

There will be no service at his request.
