Surrounded by her family, Audrey E.S. Moseley, 86, passed away on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at Trillium Lodge in Parksville, BC.
Born on July 2nd, 1931 in London, England to Fred and Agnes Redding, Audrey was married on March 24th, 1955 to Claude Albert (Bert) Moseley.
Prior to immigrating to Canada, Bert joined the Canadian Army and for the next 25 years, moved the family to various postings in Canada and Germany. Following their retirements in 1992, Audrey and Bert moved to Parksville, BC.Audrey worked for Jostens Canada in Winnipeg MB for 20 years. At 70 years old, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001 from the University of Winnipeg. As an active volunteer, she was a leader with the Girl Guides and Cub Scouts of Canada for many years and in Parksville, she made many connections in the community especially at Knox WAK meetings and events.
An avid animal and bird lover, Audrey was a loving, kind and giving mother who fought as hard as she could to maintain her independence after suffering a devastating stroke in 2015.
Preceded in death by her husband in 2008, Audrey will be sadly missed by her children: Mary (Simon), Julie (Raymond), Sheila and John (Lee Tan).
She is survived by 6 grandchildren: Michael (Christina), Jennifer (Zach), Christopher (Vickie), Aaron (Sharmagne), Andrea (Dakota) and Oliver (Shelby) and 3 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Lily and Evan.
We would like to thank the staff at Trillium for the compassionate care and kindness given to our Mom. You all made a significant difference in her life in the past two years.
Family celebration of life and interment will take place in September 2018.
