Babe (Gwenneth) Conyers
April 13, 1928 – December 3, 2015.
Babe was born in Victoria, BC where she lived until 1980. As a youth, she enjoyed roller dancing, running track and basketball and then 10-pin bowling at Mayfair Lanes. She worked as a legal secretary until retiring to Qualicum Beach with husband Jim where she continued to bowl and discovered golf. Babe and Jim enjoyed being Snowbirds as much as they could, while back at home she loved life on the river, golfing, playing the organ and her gnome garden.
Babe was pre-deceased by husband Jim, and brother Lawrence. She leaves behind her children: Cathy, Barb (Gary), Robin (Deb), Kathy (Jim) & Susan (Murray); 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Mackenzie & Maddelyn, two of Babe’s great grandchildren kept her entertained and amused in the past couple of years while at Qualicum Manor.
I would like to thank the staff at the Manor for all of their
compassion and assistance throughout my Mom’s time there.
