May 24, 1935 - February 10, 2021
Barbara Helen Isabel (Law) Kulla died peacefully on the 10th of February 2021. She will be missed by her husband Ken, her daughter Katie and husband Pat, her son Greg and wife Anne, her brother Gary and wife Joanne, her brother-in-law Bruce and wife Charlene, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Barbara was born in Vancouver on the 24th of May 1935. Although her infancy was spent in Vancouver, she later moved to Quadra Island which she often spoke of fondly. She spent her teens in Port Alberni, where she met and married Ken, before moving to North Vancouver and Burnaby where she raised her family. Barbara and Ken traveled the world extensively but always saw British Columbia as home and lived in Qualicum for nearly 20 years.
Barbara loved her family and friends and had a positive outlook on life. She never hesitated to express love and gratitude by embracing you in a hug and telling you how lucky she was for knowing such a wonderful person or having such wonderful family and friends. We all know we are the lucky ones to have known her.
Barbara was especially passionate about gardening and a great volunteer. Her passion and commitment were evident in the time she spent in her garden and in other's gardens and the many organizations she gave her time to.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Palliative Care Unit for the passion and consideration they provided to Barbara and family during this difficult time. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later time.
