BERNARD ANTHONY CAVE

April 24, 1930 – May 7, 2017

Bernie passed away peacefully with his family at his side, Sunday, May 7, 2017 in the Compassionate Care of Trillium Lodge in Parksville, BC. He was predeceased by his parents Guy and Emelie Cave, sister Dona and brother Philip. Survived by sisters; Audrey, Marianne (Don), Juliana, brothers; Joseph (Gudrun), Frank (Cecil), Norbert and many nieces and nephews.

He was born and raised at West Bay in West Vancouver. Upon graduating high school, he joined the RCAF and served overseas in France and Germany for 5 years. On his return to Canada, he went to work with the B.C. Telephone Co., working on the Mid Canada and Pine Tree Lines. In 1960 he moved to the U.S.A. to join the General Telephone Co. of America, working with them in various U.S. States. His main residence was in Gresham, Oregon, where he retired. He enjoyed photography, hiking, skiing and swimming. In 2014 he returned home to reside in Parksville, BC.

His family wish to thank the very warm and loving staff at Trillium Lodge for their excellent care of him. There will be no service by request.
