October 14, 2016

Beth McMahon

May 25, 1928 – October 14, 2016

With sadness we announce Beth’s passing on Friday, October 14, 2016. She is survived by sons, Brett (Brenda) Denby of Nanaimo and Erron (Judy) Denby of Windermere; grandchildren, Kari and Allison Denby of Calgary and Kristi Denby of Peru; great grandchildren, Hudson and Ariya Denby of Calgary and Tala Denby of Peru; good friend, Rolly Ricard of Parksville; as well as many extended friends and family members. Beth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bernard “Bernie” McMahon.

Beth worked in the food industry most of her life and in the seventies owned and operated her own restaurant. After moving to Parksville from Windermere, she worked as a server at the Island Hall. Always one to keep her hands and mind busy, when Beth left the restaurant business, she volunteered for the Meals-on-Wheels program offered through the SOS. When not volunteering or cooking up a storm, Beth loved to travel. She always enjoyed being with people earning her the nickname of “Miss Social Butterfly”.

A warm and caring person, Beth will be missed by all who new and loved her.
