Gifted with hospitality, creativity and an indomitable spirit, Bettina Margaret Wilford lived her 88 years of life to the fullest. Born in Thornton Heath, England on March 7, 1924, she married a Canadian soldier (Reg) and as a war-bride, settled in New Westminster, BC, where they raised their family. They retired to Qualicum in 1982.
Mom to four children and Nana to 12 grand-children, she will be remembered for loving generously, smiling through adversity and being the mainstay of her family.
After realizing her goal of attending her granddaughter’s wedding on September 1, Betty was received peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on September 12, 2012.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” on October 2, 2012 in St. Stephen’s Church, 150 Village Way, Qualicum Beach. Rev. Allan Walker of Qualicum Baptist officiating.
