Betty Daigle was born to Dorothy Jones and Francis Daigle in Parksville, British Columbia. As she lived through her 96 1/2 years she was witness to many changes, from the Depression, and a time when milk and ice were delivered to your door, to a world of computer chips and instant communication.
She viewed all of these years with a keen mind and an iron grip that let you know she loved you. In 1946 she married Robert Jacques and they had two daughters Lorelei (Wilfred) and Penny. The couple retired to a home near the water in Parksville where for many years they were involved in the Knox United Church.
Betty leaves behind her daughters and beloved cat Mandy, three granddaughters, Lise (Patrick), Andrea and Janelle (Evan) and three great-grandchildren, Chantal, Sabryn and Vailen, who made her smile until the end.
She is predeceased by her husband, as well as her brother Jules Daigle.
