Betty-Lou Erickson
May 8, 1932 – May 10, 2014
Betty-Lou passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief stay in hospital at the age of 82. She is survived by her son, Sonny (Heather) of Coombs and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty-Lou was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Arne in 2008 and her son, Mervyn in 1979.
Bette was an avid gardener and could always be heard cursing the slugs and bunnies that invaded her garden. When not gardening, she filled her time knitting many lovely sweaters and socks for family and friends and putting on special dinners and BBQs which were enjoyed by all. Bette was infamous for her birthday cakes with money in them! She was a wonderful Mother and friend to all – you were always welcome in her garden, or at her kitchen table.

Dr. Fridriksson and the wonderful, caring staff at Stanford Place for making her short stay there so comfortable and the doctors and nurses in Palliative Care Unit at NRGH. Special thanks to Ross and Chris, Merilyn and Shelly for being such wonderful neighbours and friends over the years.
There will be no service at Bette’s request. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring her memory by making a donation to a charity of your choice.
