It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Beverly Elizabeth Hurd; Dear Mother, Grandmother, and good friend to many. Beverly passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, in Parksville, BC, with family by her side. Born in Regina on March 14, 1936, Beverly spent her life caring for others both in her work as a social worker and in her everyday relationships. She was strong-willed, had a big heart, and always made time for people who needed her. Beverly had a knack for staying busy and creative. She loved knitting, painting, gardening, and watching Blue Bloods; she always had something to say about this week's episode. She was witty and famously always right (or at least that's what she told us). Beverly is predeceased by her partner Ken, daughters Leah and Nelda and granddaughter Sandra, sons Davey (David) and Jeffrey, and her dogs Sissy and Bear - all of whom she missed dearly. Until then, we'll remember Beverly for her sense of humour, her honesty, and her love for her family.
She leaves behind her children Jennifer (Dave), Kenneth (Nina), Michael (Lesley), and grandchildren Danny, Joanne, Jen, Adam, Jessica, Dean, Ayme, Jeffrey, Rachelle, Jolea, best friend, Mary Anne, and many more friends and family.
Beverly is survived by her lovely lunch Lady group, that she cherished so, so much.
A celebration of life will be held in Parksville on July 22, 2025 12:00 pm in the Serenity Room @ YATES MEMORIAL SERVICES. The address is 1000 Allsbrook Road. Parksville, BC.
